Future EA Sports Games Will Require A Online Pass

Those of you that buy used games are in for some hurt. EA recently announced that all of it's future sport games will require a pass for you to access it's online features. Why did they decide to do this? To give an incentive for people to not buy their games used. If you didn't already know, game companies do not gain any sort of revenue from used game sales.

This name will become poison possibly once again.

Just what will this pass do for you? First of all, it's a one-time use code that lets you access features like the online multiplayer, online dynasties/leagues, any user created content and finally any downloadable content that EA would release. To put it bluntly anything online, your locked out of if you play used.

Don't fret too much though if you do buy a future EA sports game used, you'll still be able to buy online passes for $10 per game and EA is obviously not going to be locking out past games.

The online passes will be introduced in the new Tiger Woods game being released next month.
