If you read Nintendo Power at all, they hinted at Nintendo announcing something huge this month.
Well, without further ado. We give you the official press release for Luigi's Mansion 2 (Working title at the moment.)I was rather fond of the original, so let's hope this one is just as awesome.

Yup, it's getting a sequel.April 1st, 2010
"Nintendo is happy to announce the long-awaited sequel in to the classic Gamecube™ launch title. Luigi's Mansion™!
Luigi™ once again finds himself trapped in a giant haunted Mansion and using an all-new Ghost Vacuum, he must capture every ghost and find his way out of the mansion once and for all. This time, you have the power of the Wii™ Remote on your side.
"I'm personally excited for a sequel," said Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo of America, "Luigi's Mansion™ was perfect for showing off what the Gamecube™ software could do, now you get to do it all again with the Wii™ Remote. I willed this game to be, because I am Reggie Fils-Aime! I have achieved divinity! I am a God now!"
The game is currently on track for release October 2011. In the mean time, stay tuned for more updates as the year goes by.
