QuickReVu: Grill-off with Ultra Hand!

This is the debut of the Quick ReVu! Only on Gammabit!

It's a simple short review of one of a plethora of download-exclusive titles for any/all platforms. Today, we're looking at the Club Nintendo-exclusive WiiWare title, Grill-off with Ultra Hand!

In order to get this game, you'll have to subscribe to Club Nintendo, which I'm sure a lot of you Wii-owners already have.

Some history on the Ultra Hand device, it's a claw toy that Nintendo released in 1967. Long before they started designing video games. It was designed by Gunpei Yokoi. The badass responsible for The Game and Watch, the GameBoy and the Metroid series.

Now onto the actual game:

It's simple. You choose between either one or two player modes and you're set. In single player, you hold the Wiimote and Nunchuck as if you were holding the actual Ultra Hand device. You Push the controllers together to extend the hand, grabbing a piece of meat that is cooking on one of four different grills. When it's cooked, you grab the meat by holding the A button. You return pack to your plate by retracting the Ultra Hand. The game is fast-paced and challenging, dropping a single piece of meat or letting any burn results in a game over, so you have to be fast and observant to get the high score.

Multiplayer is similar. You and another player have 90 seconds to gather as many points as you can. It starts of pretty calm, but it gets hectic. The sheer insanity of the multiplayer is what makes the game so awesome. Not to mention addicting as hell.

If you have at least one first-party Wii title, go online and sign up for Club Nintendo. The game only costs 80 Club Nintendo points. It's quite the steal. Go get it. Right now.
