Capcom loses lots of money, suggests a Mega Man Online?

Capcom is looking for ways to make up for it's abysmal Fiscal Year. Investing it's legendary Mega Man franchise into the world of Online gaming seems to be one of them.

After coming off a bitchslap of a Fiscal Year, where Capcom's net income had dropped almost 75%, it's understandable that Capcom is looking for a way to garner sales. With Bionic Commando and Dark Void failing to reach expected sale numbers and early reviews for Lost Planet 2 looking negative, the minds at Capcom might be getting a little desperate.

Here's hoping it looks like this!

A Mega Man MMOG is a sure-fire sign of that desperation. Capcom has teamed up with Korea-based Neowiz Games who are responsible for Alliance of Valiant Arms, to create an MMO based on their flagship property. This may or may not be related to the patenting of "Mega Man Universe" that Gamespot had reported last month. This will definitely be a make-or-break situation with Capcom unless they manage to redeem themselves with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. We'll just have to wait and see.
