A new XCOM game developed by the same team members involved with Bioshock has been hinted at for some time. Now it's on it's way, only in a completely different form.
So from this...The team at 2K Marin, the developers of the Bioshock 2, not Irrational games as originally suspected will be in charge on development this time around. Instead of the Turn-based strategy of the the original XCOM games, 2K Marin is developing a First-Person shooter spinoff of the series.
...To this? Sounds pretty awesome to me!Bioshock 2 was a well-received title, so there's a good chance that this one will be just as awesome. Here's hoping that there's a variety of aliens for you to dissect.
There's no date so far on when the title will be released, but the game is expected to be on the PC and the 360. We'll keep you updated as the news comes. As always.
