Yeah right.

Don't fall for the free iPad scams, Better Business Bureau (BBB) warned in an article on Monday. These scammers try to access your personal information and phish for your credit card number.

The offers claim that your can be a "tester" for Apple's newest product and get the iPad for free, BBB reports.

Computer security company, McAfee, reported on it's research blog about scams sent through email. To get your free iPad, the email tells you to give them your shipping address for delivery purposes. Oh, and one more thing, you'll need to buy something using your credit card.

People were also tricked into signing-up for a monthly $10 subscription service through Facebook, reported Sophos, a security software vendor and developer. The Facebook page amassed over 3,500 fans before it was taken down. Sophos tells you to research what the page/group is about before inviting your friends.

For those who want their hands on an iPad, the BBB recommends purchasing through an authorized dealer or directly from the Apple website. And for those planning to grab one on eBay or Craigslist, BBB warns people not to pay through wire transfer.
