If you watched Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, then this isn't so much news to you. But if you didn't, here you go.
Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski appeared on the show last night and showed the world a rather intense new trailer and officially announced release of Gears of War 3, which had been hinted at for some time in the last couple weeks. The game is expected to be the last in the series as well.
The trailer depicts a three-way fight between the last surviving Humans, the Locust Horde and a new enemy, the Lambent. The trailer shows us a new female squad member who will most likely be playable. The trailer ends with the words "Brothers to the end" which ominously fades to become "the end." Possibly hinting at a grim end for the Gears of War series.
The game is expected to drop April 8th, 2011 in North America on the Xbox 360 exclusively.
