Games of the Wild West - Part 1

To commemorate the May release of Rockstar Game's Red Dead Redemption, we've decided to take a look at a variety of games that explore similar Wild West themes. So every day this week until Sunday, be sure to look out for another Western-themed game!

The first game we'll be doing was just released last week! It's Paragon Interactive's Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West.

In a Nutshell, Lead and Gold is a mixture of three things: Team Fortress + Wild West + Third Person Shooter. And you know what? It's actually a pretty awesome combination.

You choose one of four different classes, each with it's own unique appearance, loadout and "Synergy." The Synergy is an ability that improves the stats of all nearby teammates.

The Playable classes include:

The Blaster, a close-range Shooter. Has the ability to throw dynamite and improve the defense of friendly units.

The Deputy, a medium-range shooter. Has the ability to "Tag" enemies and untag friendly players who've been tagged by opponents.

The Gunslinger, another medium-Range Shooter. Has the ability to fan his shots to hit multiple targets.

The Trapper, a long-range Sniper. He has the ability to set up traps in order to immobilize the enemy players.

The game has a variety of gameplay modes, similar to it's Valve-developed counterpart, the game also comes packaged with 6 unique maps as well.

Dead Cowboy is dead.

The game is currently available on the PC via Steam and for all you console folks out there, the game will appear on the Playsation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace at the end of the month. Go check it out now!
