Seth Green appears in new Dragon Quest IX trailer; North Amercian RPG fans are confused

I'm not going to lie, I love me some Dragon Quest, It's easily one of my favorite franchises ever. But after seeing the new North American commercials for Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, even my immense love for the series couldn't prevent me from dying a little bit inside. Check out the one below to see what I mean:
 
 

When I think of Seth Green, I think of Mass Effect, Family Guy and Rat Race. Dragon Quest isn't something that explicitly comes to mind. You can find another, equally nightmarish commercial right here. But you'll probably wish you didn't.
