So with Ubisoft's E3 conference now passed we have glimpses at some brand new games, some games that will be used on Microsoft's Kinect, and some of our favorites returning to us after a long absence. Here is what went down!
- The conference opened up with a look at Child of Eden which will be Ubisoft's new art game using Microsoft Kinect. The feature contained lots of bring lights, blasting techno beats and an asian man wearing white gloves.
- Next was the worst part of the conference...the introduction to the host. Joel McHale came out and throughout the entire conference tried to be a funny man to entertain the crowd and us online viewers and well...he failed...hard... Though the man did have a snazzy silk suit on!
- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood comes to us with pretty cut scenes, beefed up A.I. and your favorite assassin back with some friends to take out the new nemesis. Gameplay showed us new features and the new taking the offense strategy the player can take.
- Shaun White Skateboaarding...yes he has another game will come to us where the player will try to stop the "Ministry" from trying to stop skateboarding and general fun *COUGH* COMMUNISM *COUGH* The game will feature "Shaping" to change the environment and get anywhere using rails including the tops of buildings!
- PEW PEW! Battle Tag, the new way of gaming lets the players play a game of lazer tag anywhere, and then upload their information to the Battle Tag community so everyone can see how good you are.
- Innergy will come to your laptop so that you can relieve your stress anywhere by putting a little plastic thing on your computer and following the on screen instructions.
- A feature on the developers of Ubisoft games showcases their "Games You Can Feel" approach this year. Lots of French-Canadian accents and all the developers saying the samething.
- A trailer for the Wii exclusive Raving Rabbids: Travel In Time features pretty looking cutscenes for the Wii which was all very lawl worthy. The little rabbits will now travel back in time and cause havoc in ancient civilizations.
- Two Kinect titles are to take from Wii inpriration. Motion Sports will feature skiing, football, boxing, and soccer games in motion capture. Your Shape: Fitness Evolved shows YOU real time on screen doing all the fitness you can handle and you look like you're made of FIRE!
- Ghost Recon: Future Soldier showed off an gameplay demo that was very pretty and many new gadgets and weapons even an ivisibility suit. There will be 3D release of the game.
- A trailer for my favorite of the conference, Driver: San Fransisco shows us liscenced cars, shinny graphics, multiplayer, and the ability to change to any car you feel you want to drive in the environment.
- Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont comes out to show us three new projects which are trailers for: Project Dust (working name) Rayman Origins...YEAH!!! and Maniaplanet.
- The conference ends with dancers from Michael Jackson's "This Is It" which looks like a Michael Jackson fighter.
OVERALL
So Ubisoft is showing us the return of the armless Rayman and the Driver Series, another Assassin's Creed, and many new games that will take advantage of the new Microsoft Kinect. Despite the douchebagery of the host Joel McHale, Ubisoft has shown us what is to come in the upcoming year and it looks to be good.
