Summer of Arcade 2010 Line-up revealed

For the last two years, one of the most interesting things to happen to the Xbox Live Marketplace was the Summer of Arcade, a line-up of badass games that were fed to Xbox Gamers in the hot Summer heat. Last year, we got to contend with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, the always fantastic Shadow Complex, (It's on sale this week, buy it now if you haven't.) But here's a look at what's coming this summer, on Xbox Live Arcade!

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair

Castlevania returns to the Xbox 360 with the much-rumored Harmony of Despair. The only details Konami has given us are that the game will be sprite-based and have a co-op mode for up to 6 players! Exclusively on the Xbox 360.

Hydro Thunder Hurricane

If you've read this blog since it's announcement, you know I'm excited for the new Hydro Thunder title. A sequel to the classic Arcade/Dreamcast racer, this one is bound to be an exciting arcade-styled title that's perfect for the Summer. Catch the trailer if you haven't already.

Monday Night Combat

Monday Night Combat feels like a mix of a Game Show + Football + Team Fortress 2. The visuals and characters seem similar to the TF2 guys, but the concept of the game feels more like the classic Smash TV. We'll have to see where this one goes.

Limbo

Developed by the Indie team, Playdead, Limbo is a unique platformer with an interesting visual aesthetic and a purposely vague storyline. It seems like something to get excited about, especially for fans of Braid.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Though little has been revealed about this new adventure in the Tomb Raider series, it's good to know Crystal Dynamics is back on board delivering us an extensive new experience in this much beloved franchise.
