All I really do these days is kick-back and relax when I'm a Holiday, which also happens to be something I do almost every other day, since I don't work as often as I used to. I like to kick-back in the yard, while quenching my thirst with Mr. Sam Adams in the almost-unbearable heat that comes with Canadian Summer.
The May 24 weekend is probably my favorite of Holidays, since it's pretty much the most pointless excuse for a a day off ever. Actually, I'm wrong. That "Family Day." Stupid-ass Canadian Holidays...
Good Times, Brah.
So let me tell you how I spent my Monday off. I sat on a deck all day, sipping on the Brew and just thinking about nothing. The heat was unbearable, but I was too hot or drunk to really do anything but continue drinking. As the sun continued to burn my fair, orange ghost-y flesh, I began to feel a little woozy. I wasn't sure if it was because I was hammered or I was beginning to get heat stroke. The next thing I remember was lying face-down on the deck.
It was a strange experience for me. As I was lying there, in my near-death haze of alcohol and heat, I began to vividly remember the early days of my Youth. It was scary, I almost pissed myself. Something I haven't done in almost 30 years. But my friends, that is a story for another week...
Until then,
- Clyde.
