A sequel on the way for City of Heroes?

Fans of the original City of Heroes rejoice! According to Gamespot, a sequel may be on it's way very soon.

Gamespot reports that NCsoft, the Korean-based MMO factory has filed for a trademark in the U.S. for "City of Heroes 2."



For those of you unfamiliar with the series, the game allows you to design your very own comic book-inspired super hero, pick from a variety of powers, start allegiances with other players and go out and fight evil. The game had a spinoff released in the form of "City of Villains" where you play as a nefarious custom made villain.

As per the usual, we'll keep you updated if any new information is released pertaining this full-fledged sequel to the popular MMO series.
