Ex-Infinity Ward Heads Creates New Studio

Yup that's right the Ex-Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vincent Zampella have announced today the creation of a new studio after being fired by Activision for insubordination. Their new company is called Respawn Entertainment and what was also announced today was that it is in a partnership with EA. So now EA has the two ex-head honchos from what is probably Activision's most profitable studio.

But whats most interesting about this announcement is that its in the wake of Activision filing a lawsuit against both West and Zampella for trying to hijack Activision assets. What they had was suspicions that West and Zampella was in contact with EA and possibly moving Infinity Ward over to the rival company something Activision obviously wouldn't of liked. The legal battle also still has be fought and both sides filed a suit against each other. This may or may not determine the future of the Call of Duty series but Activision will probably try to hold onto that even if it's case goes sour.

Respawn Entertainment's first game is expected to be released in three to four years.
